How Do We Become the Portal?
We don’t force it open.
We tune ourselves to it.
Becoming the portal means stepping into harmony with the unseen architecture of time, place, and sound. It means listening—to the land, the structure, the body, the moment.
We become the portal when: A breath aligns with a tone
A rhythm awakens a memory
A body stands still long enough to feel the floor beneath it
We use tools: A didgeridoo, a voice, a bowl, a camera, a stillness
A willingness to resonate, not dominate
The Oregon Convention Center isn’t just a building—it’s an instrument.
When played with care, with rhythm, with intent—it sings.
And when we play it together, with awareness, we become the sound.
To become the portal is to remember:
You are not here to pass through the threshold.
You are here to become the threshold.
